Sitting just on the other side of the state-line is Perdido’s friendly, neighboring cities- Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, AL! With many great places for food, shopping, and entertainment, such as The Wharf and San Roc Cay entertainment districts! Orange Beach and Gulf Shores prove to be a great day trip when staying in the Perdido Area and are a quick trip down the beach road!

Driving the other direction from Perdido Key, you will enter the heart of Pensacola! Offering a uniquely quaint downtown atmosphere, Pensacola offers a great nightlife and restaurant array in a walkable atmosphere! With much to do in art and entertainment and many events held year-round, this is a great day-trip for those looking for a more social evening!

 

Gulf Islands National Seashore

Spend the day on one of Perdido’s most prized possessions! Johnson’s Beach on Perdido Key is part of Gulf Island’s National Seashore which is a magical stretch of beach protected by the federal government. While enjoying the beautiful, untouched shores of nature- you may find yourself bird watching from the accessible boardwalk trail, experiencing a picnic from one of the beach-side shaded pavilions or simply relaxing in nature’s paradise on the beach!
